Has anyone ever told you that you look like someone in your family like a great-grand parent or that you have taken on a characteristic of someone from your family past?
It could be someone you might have never known. Is it something good you have from them? It’s amazing how things can be passed from generation to generation. There were two people in the Bible Enoch and Noah that it says walked faithfully with God.
Now when I think about when we walk with someone we walk side by side. One is not in the front or in the back trailing behind. These two men Enoch and Noah walked stride in stride with God. The cool part about this is that Enoch the first ever mentioned to walk with God was Noah’s great-grand father. What kind of stories did Noah hear from his father Lamech about his great-grandfather’s character and faith? What-ever it was it inspired him and encouraged him in his own walk and journey. Enoch left a legacy that would eventually save his great-grandson’s life physically and eternally.
Genesis 5:22-After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God 300 years and has other sons and daughters.
Genesis 6:9-This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.
So here’s something to think about.
What kind of legacy will you leave behind for your future generation to come?
