As Jesus headed to wake up Lazarus little did Lazarus family and friends know that he wasn’t only going to wake Lazarus but through Lazarus death he was about to do something else. He was about to awaken their faith through a miracle that prior to felt like a hopeless tragedy that they couldn’t see through.

John 11:11 After he had said this, he went on to tell them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up.”

Jesus does this same thing to us by using difficult situations and life’s circumstances to awake our soul in ways only he can.

Psalm 57:8 (NIV) 8 Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
