I remember a couple of years ago for a whole week it felt like I was facing adversity in every area of my life. Then one night just topped it all off with conflict left and right. I was dealing with a strong question that I needed to ask God. While standing in the shower I said God this storm didn’t begin until I really started trusting you and doing what I feel like you’ve called me to do. In total surrender while in the shower I shouted out in tears to God asking him to show me a sign that would let me know that I was doing what he called me to do.
After that I felt this relief just overcome me. Now at this time it was about 12 midnight and I had to get up for work at 4 am but I decided to go down stairs and read my bible. I begin to read the bible and the last verse I read that God led me to before I went to bed was Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. I then went to bed because I had to be up early. The next morning while working at 6 am I’ll never forget what happened. My cell phone vibrated and I looked at it to see what it was. It was my daily bible app going off to give the verse for the day. Guess what that verse was for that day? Hebrews 11:6!!! Yes GOD SPOKE BACK TO ME GIVING ME CONFIRMATION THAT I WAS DOING WHAT HE WANTED ME TO DO.
That wasn’t the last time I shouted out or cried out to God and he responded. There are others in the bible who done the same-thing.
Matthew 20:30-34 (NIV)
30 Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”31 The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”32 Jesus stopped and called them. “What do you want me to do for you?” he asked.33 “Lord,” they answered, “we want our sight.”
34 Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him. (They shouted and Jesus responded.)
9 But when they cried out to the Lord, he raised up for them a deliverer, Othniel son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother, who saved them. (They cried out and he delivered them)
So no matter what you’re going through RIGHT NOW or WILL EVER go through in your life, know it’s OK to shout out to the LORD. Just let it go because he’s a great DELIVERER.
Psalm 107: 28-30(NIV)
28 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. 29 He stilled the storm to a whisper;
the waves of the sea[a] were hushed. 30 They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven.
