Fighting over little things in life can ruin relationships, cause us to miss out on something great and even prevent us from being apart of something truly special. There’s enough issues that we deal with regularly so don’t sweat the small stuff. So what are they? You already know what they are in your life. The small stuff that keeps you from progress. John the Baptist disciples approached Jesus with the small stuff missing out on what was truly important. Don’t let that be you.
Matthew 9:14-17 (NIV)
14 Then John’s disciples came and asked him, “How is it that we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples do not fast?”
15 Jesus answered, “How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them? The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.
16 “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse. 17 Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”
I encourage you today to put the small stuff a side even the ones that may annoy you and instead focus on the blessings in your life.
Jesus the Lord of All didn’t sweat the small stuff. His love for us is LOYAL and UNCONDITIONAL.
