I think most of us would agree that there’s nothing like having someone who can relate to you and a situation you’ve gone through or someone who gets and understands you. What’s even more amazing though to me is how we have a God who can relate to us. There’s nothing that we could ever go through in this life that God can’t relate to.
15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.
He’s dealt with temptation, mourned the life of a friend, been falsely accused, beaten and talked about not only by his peers but his family. He knows what it feels like as a parent to have a child you love so dearly go down the wrong path and as you try to encourage them they push you away only to fall deeper into what ever it is that they’re doing, while in at the same time failing to realize that what you’re telling them could heal them, but they refuse to acknowledge it.
Hosea.11.1-3. “When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son. But the more they were called, the more they went away from me. They sacrificed to the Baals and they burned incense to images. It was I who taught Ephraim to walk, taking them by the arms; but they did not realize it was I who healed them.
16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Never forget that God can and does relate to everything you’re going through or will ever go through and through it all you’re still here.
