Every year several new laws are passed causing some kind of change in the legal system. Depending on were you stand you may consider the new laws good or bad. Some people may not even agree with the laws but because majority does they go right along with it. One thing I’ve notice in this life is no matter how many times laws change God never changes. He stands by his word regardless if we choose to agree or disagree. He doesn’t panic or sweat on any decision that our country makes because in the end it’s all in his control.
I have noticed recently though that when Gods people hear of a law change they either panic or go the majority rule route in fear of offending someone. God doesn’t want his people to change or panic in the wake of law change. God want his people to stand firm in prayer. Look at what Daniel did when laws around him changed.
10 Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before. 11 Then these men went as a group and found Daniel praying and asking God for help.
Did you notice that David continued to do what he had done before? Did you see that he seek God for help. So as the body of Christ we need to take note from Daniel instead of panicking. We need to continue to do what he have been doing which is praying for our country and asking God for his help just like Daniel did.
