Before Hillsong wrote this song Touch The Sky with these lyrics I found my life when I laid it down I touched the sky when my knees hit the ground King Nebuchadnezzar knew what that meant and how that felt. He knew so well that he could have written the song himself. When he fell on his knees releasing his pride he regained his life again.
Take a look
At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever. His dominion is an eternal dominion; his kingdom endures from generation to generation. All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him: “What have you done?” At the same time that my sanity was restored, my honor and splendor were returned to me for the glory of my kingdom.
Just like Nebuchadnezzar I found a new life in Christ when I laid mine down. When I laid everything at the feet of Jesus. When I let go of all the stress, worry, selfishness, pride, anger, disappointment, hurt and pass pain and even future pain in my life releasing it all to him on my knees he breathe into me a fresh breathe of life, purpose and a new energized spirit. He reassured me that in him is where true life is and without him i’m not truly living.
John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
So if you truly want to fill what it feels like to live again try letting your knees hit the ground in the presence of Jesus.
