Scripture Reading: Romans 3:22-24, 2 Samuel 12:13, James 5:15
Key Verse: Romans 3:23
Romans 3:22-24 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Have you ever felt you just can’t get it right in your life? Every time you try to take one step forward in your life you end up taking three steps back and you begin to feel like you’re just not a person worthy of forgiveness from others, your-self or God so you throw in the towel? That feeling of isolation is exactly where Satan wants you to be. He wants you to think that in order for you to be used by God in any way you need to reach perfection. I will tell you now you will never reach perfection and no one ever has except Jesus. Remember the Key Verse?
Romans 3:23 (NIV)
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
It’s says all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God not some. This includes everyone you and I know as well as all of God’s greatest leaders.
2 Samuel 12:13 (NIV)
13 Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.”
Nathan replied, “The Lord has taken away your sin. You are not going to die.
James 5:15 (NIV)
15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.
See no one is exempt from sin not even King David. God is willing and ready to forgive you for anything you have done in the past, present, and the future. Don’t give up, never throw in the towel, because God wants to do something amazing with you and through you. Also remember that we are all UNDER-CONSTRUCTION even the person you admire the most.
Lord, thank you for allowing me to accept the fact that I’m a work in progress and embrace the fact that while I’m here on Earth I will forever be under your construction.
