God loves honoring and rewarding those he love. Sometimes with those rewards comes more responsibility. Aaron was rewarded by being appointed the first priest of the Lord for all his hard work with assisting his brother Moses with doing Gods will. But with his promotion came more responsibility. Are you willing to accept more responsibility when your award/blessing come?
Exodus 28:1-2 NIV
“Have Aaron your brother brought to you from among the Israelites, along with his sons Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, so they may serve me as priests. Make sacred garments for your brother Aaron to give him dignity and honor.
Exodus 28:29 NIV
“Whenever Aaron enters the Holy Place, he will bear the names of the sons of Israel over his heart on the breastpiece of decision as a continuing memorial before the Lord .
Exodus 28:38 NIV
It will be on Aaron’s forehead, and he will bear the guilt involved in the sacred gifts the Israelites consecrate, whatever their gifts may be. It will be on Aaron’s forehead continually so that they will be acceptable to the Lord .
How do you think Aaron might have felt with all that responsibility? Do you think if he would have known before hand of the responsibility he would have to take on, he would have accepted his promotion? Would you have accepted it? I would love some feedback!!!
