Three quick points this morning from Chapter 45 Genesis that we can use from Joseph.
1- Sometimes we go through things in life and blame others for putting us there failing to realize they couldn’t have if God didn’t allow it. Genesis 45:7-8 NIV
But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance. “So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God. He made me father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt.
2- God promises never fail. He promised Abraham that we would take care of his people even during adversity and it proves to be true. Genesis 45:18 NIV
and bring your father and your families back to me. I will give you the best of the land of Egypt and you can enjoy the fat of the land.’
3- Let go of the past a move towards the present. Joseph encouraged his brothers after he revealed himself not to point fingers and use the blame game as they travel back to go get Jacob. He knew that if they did it would delay their trip.
Genesis 45:24 NIV
Then he sent his brothers away, and as they were leaving he said to them, “Don’t quarrel on the way!”
