KNOWLEDGE VS WISDOM/CAN YOU HAVE ONE WITHOUT THE OTHER

I pray that you read this in its entirety!!!
There are some many smart and intelligent people in the world filled with knowledge. These people can tell you anything you want to know about any topic. They spend their entire life searching for knowledge. But what good does it do you if you have all the knowledge in the world with no wisdom? We hear about people like that all the time, who have all the knowledge in the world but don’t put it to use. Why read books on how to be a Godly spouse or Godly parents but not using what you have learned? Having that knowledge doesn’t do you any good. It’s when you apply it using wisdom is when it becomes beneficial, to you and those around you. So where does true wisdom come from and how important is it to us? Well I have the answer for you here to both questions.

Well we all get our wisdom from God and increase on it by reading his word, and applying it to our lives. Proverbs 2:6 says “For the Lord gives wisdom;from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Who wouldn’t want that? The only way to get that is through him. What I really love about that verse is that he always gives more. Not only do we get wisdom but we also get knowledge and understanding!!!
What if someone told you that with God’s wisdom comes in all the the above, and a blessing. Would you search for it even more? Proverbs 3:13 says “Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding. Wait though because there is even more when it comes to Godly wisdom. There is also a reward that comes with obtaining Godly wisdom. Proverbs 9:12 says” If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer.

The Bible says King Solomon in 1 Kings chapter 4 was the wisest man who ever lived. 1 Kings 4:29-30 says “God have Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore. Solomon’s wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the people of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt. When King Solomon, having all the knowledge in the world failed to use the wisdom God gave to him his life became challenging and destruction came to his family. Choosing wise friends is also important. Proverbs 18:24 ” One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 12:26 “The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray. Once we search and obtain God’s wisdom, he wants us to hold on to it never letting it go. Proverbs 4:5 says “Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them.”
Before you finish reading whats below. Please take a second to listen to this song Oceans by Hillsong. Warning!!! make sure you have something to wipe your tears way with!!!

I pray that we search more for God’s wisdom than for world knowledge and once we find it we don’t let it go. I pray that we choose wise friends who will encourage us as they also search for God’s wisdom. I also pray that if someone who reads this blog doesn’t have a relationship with you. Lord I pray that they accept you into their life as their saviour and that they ask you to forgive them for their sins and that they believed that you died for their sins and you cross on the third day Amen!!!
