TRANSFORMATION IN THE BODY

As a boy I was really into transformers because I could change the natural appearance of what it looked like into something totally different. It was pretty cool watching how during the transformation part how they would gain extra power and new weapons to defeat the enemy. I remember when they started making the movies how people ran to the movie theater to check out their favorite characters on the big screen. What I thought was pretty amazing was how little boys and girls from todays generation began to take to these characters that they didn’t grow up with. Out of curiosity I asked my son why he liked transformers to get his imput. My son said the reason he liked transformers was because you have pretty cool cars who can transform into these powerful robots that can run fast. To him they had this super power that was fascinating to him. So your probably thinking where am I going with this. Well I believe truly in my spirit that God is looking for a transformation in 2013 in the Body Of Christ. He is looking for a shift in everything that we do. He is looking for us to change the way we think, talk, walk, and he is looking for us to step up our faith like never before.

God is looking for a body that can come together in spite of our differences to the point that we won’t lack anything. He is looking for a body that can come together in true fellowship and in prayer. He is looking for the body that represented the faith that the first church body started with. Acts 2:42-47-42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Acts 4:32-34-32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all 34 that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales

The Bible says in Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. This being true that means there are no reasons why shouldn’t hear more stories of miracles being performed by the laying of hands, more prophets prophesying and more prayers being answered. So what has happened? God has never changed but we have. We should be experiencing stories more often like Acts 3:6-10-6 Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” 7 Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. 8 He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. 9 When all the people saw him walking and praising God, 10 they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. More stories like Acts 5:12-16.12 The apostles performed many signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon’s Colonnade. 13 No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people. 14 Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number. 15 As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. 16 Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by impure spirits, and all of them were healed.

If God is a never-changing God the only thing that could have changed is his body. The Bible says that God gives spiritual gifts. 1 Corinthians 12:8-11-12 To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the Same spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,to another miraculous powers,to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still aother the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines. The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts, and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. Ephesians 4:11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. That means we all have been given a special gift to advance his kingdom. Its time for us to find that gift and allow it to be used in our life for his glory.

God also want us to get back to the point of accountability to one another. He also want us to except those who don’t have a relationship with him as they are. When we do that without throwing stones, It as at that point once they feel welcomed no matter what their circumstances are and they feel the love of Christ from us then that’s when barriers can be broken. We truly as a body need to show Gods love and when we finally get to that point then just like in the earlier church thousands will be saved. When we begin to start back praying without ceasing as a body, families will be restored, the sick will be healed, more will seek to know him, relationships will be rebuilt and those who are confused will no longer be confused. If we want to see these things happen, then it starts with each and every one of us individually.

Before I leave you with a verse, I would like to give you something to think about. We strive to live life getting to the other side where there is no pain, no sorrow, no death, no bills, no worries, no more fighting for us to win those who are loss. That life is promised to those who believe. But what kind of impact can you make in heaven when you get there? God has already done that for us. So since we know that’s already taken care of. Let us start focusing on were we are now where we can make an impact. When we get to heaven the souls that are with us will already have been saved. John 14:1-4- 14 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.” But while we are on Earth we have more impact and purpose on his Kingdom than we do with him in heaven. I wanted to leave you with something to think about. 1 Thessalonians 5:14-16-14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. 15 Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
16 Rejoice always. I pray that we all take a deep look inside ourselves, and seek the transformation that God has instore for us, and that we also receive the gift he has given us, and that we use both to advance his kingdom in Jesus name Amen!! Enjoy the songs below!!!
